BNSF 5895
Title:  BNSF 5895

In fact, only about the first fourth of this train is in Texas - the rest is in Oklahoma. This train wasn't going into the siding to meet another train (the Boise City Subdivision is a directional line), but rather was going to be tied down until a new crew could board and head south to Amarillo, Texas.

Much has changed along these tracks since the demise of the Milwaukee Road - for example, traffic is down to about 3-6 trains per day and, west of Hettinger, North Dakota, the vintage signals have been deactivated and completely ripped out in places.
